Celotex, the UK's leading PIR (polyisocyanurate) insulation manufacturer, has opened a new 120,000 sq ft Distribution and Innovation Centre in Hadleigh, Suffolk - reinforcing the company's plans to grow by 50% in the next three years.

Over the past 12 months, Celotex has invested heavily in manufacturing and distribution as a result of increased business and to support future plans. With a clear focus on achieving a streamlined, high quality and cost effective production process along with more reliable and efficient distribution, the company has invested £3 million in the new Distribution and Innovation Centre.

Featuring an automated conveyor system which transports PIR insulation from the manufacturing facility to the distribution unit, this will save time, reduce labour costs and eliminate the need for HGV movements to further improve Celotex' already-impressive sustainability credentials as well as its distribution capabilities.

The Innovation Centre will provide a centre of excellence for the development of new thermal performance solutions for the construction industry. Already one of the UK's most innovative insulation manufacturers, Celotex leads the way in the research and development of new products. The new Centre will enable Celotex to continue its development of product innovations to meet and exceed the demands of the Government's Green Deal - which is set to become the biggest home improvement programme since the Second World War.

As well as improved manufacturing and distribution, the site redevelopment and expansion will also create new jobs at Celotex - already one of the largest employers in the region. Following heavy investment in key areas of the business, a commitment to sustainability and a robust business plan and strategy, Celotex has seen business double despite the economic downturn.

With the new £3 million Distribution and Innovation Centre at its headquarters in Suffolk, Celotex looks set to continue this aggressive, innovative and creative approach to developing its business that has seen the company grow to become the leader in its field.
