    What impact will you have in this role?

    This role is working with Celotex the fastest growing insulation category within the UK With a history of continual product innovation, technical progression and an unrivalled product and service package spanning 90 years, Celotex remain the insulation specialist of choice.

    This role is supporting our production facility in Hadleigh leading in the development of the Automation systems, both in terms of maintaining existing systems and the optimisation for the whole production plant

    • Program PLC’s to ensure optimum performance of all plant and equipment including Kuka robots

    • Managing the development, implementation, test and maintenance of software and ensuring latest versions are installed.

    • Manage all software and hardware installed on different types of continuous process equipment while ensuring minimal down times, proper documentation and version control

    • Ensuring any SCADA System captures all relevant data

    • Commissioning machines for validation and testing.

    • Ability to organise, plan and execute multiple tasks to tight schedules

    • Maintain and develop good inter-department relations and communications.

    • Ensure that high standards of housekeeping are established and maintained at all times utilising 5S system.

    • Encourage and pursue a policy of continuous improvement and ensure, through co-ordination with the Quality Assurance Manager, that departmental procedures and work instructions are maintained, up-dated when necessary and adhered to.

    • Experience of equipment design for manufacture, with a background in a production environment is desirable.

    • Capable of developing New PLC, HMI/SCADA, Database Code or portion of Code from scratch or following existing standards.

    How you will utilise your expertise: In this role you will lead the maintenance team to provide professional maintenance standards, maintaining rigor throughout. You will also resolve breakdowns safely and efficiently, get to their root cause and enact countermeasures to ensure they do not recur.

    • To co-ordinate with the stores to ensure all spare parts are available at all times to deal with breakdowns effectively.

    • To liaise with suppliers to assist in sourcing parts and then working within the Purchasing system to raise Purchase Requisitions.

    • To undertake internal projects to ensure the continual improvement of machine reliability, co-ordinating with suppliers and project managers and liaising with Team Leaders and Manufacturing Managers to get stake holder approval.

    • This role will need hands on approach, working on the machines and leading the team by example.

    • To ensure that all key performance indicators [KPIs] and/or objectives set with your Manager are performed effectively and within target and agreed parameters.

    • Proven record of hands on working experience servicing continuous production lines.

    • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent. • Knowledge of Pemac CMMS software or alternatives.

    • Good experience of man management and a strong team player.

    • Able to work to tight deadlines and have good attention to detail.

    • Capable to work on a continental shift pattern.

    This role is working with Celotex who are the UK brand leader in PIR thermal insulation solutions for the building and construction sectors. Celotex strives, through our investment in product innovation, to continually improve the performance of our product ranges and remain at the forefront of industry progress. Supported by certifications and approvals from leading third party organisations, our products continue to provide the best option for Building Regulations and other carbon reduction programmes. In this role you will be responsible for the completion and implementation of Quality Control projects and improvements in relation to manufactured products and raw materials.

    Main duties include:

    • To assist and undertake quality control testing of products manufactured in the plant and report on any products not complying with Company’s internal specifications during holiday periods.

    • To monitor and measure Supplier non-conformances undertake projects to improve the quality of materials and services expected and promised.

    • To undertake projects relating to Customer complaint using WCM practices and processes for the RCA and preventative implementation plans.

    • To assist in the collection and input of data for analysis as part of continuous process improvements on the production lines. Work with the operations team in delivering Quality led improvement projects using WCM tools and techniques.

    • To assist in the Quality Control audits of product being shipped to customers.

    What kind of person are we looking for?

    • Previous proven experience of production & manufacturing equipment and ancillaries including an awareness of TPM and Preventative Maintenance Systems.

    • IT Literate with a minimum of 3 years’ experience and / or a recognised qualification.

    • To be prepared to undertake further training as required.
