    We are currently working with West Suffolk College with the view of taking on an Engineering Apprentice in our Engineering team.

    Apprentices will attend West Suffolk College on day release one day per week for 3 year period to compete a Level 3 Diploma from September 2015.

    Ideally, applicants need to be aged 16 – 19 and have 5 GCSE’s level A-C or a Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Maintenance. A passion and enthusiasm for engineering together with the ability to learn in a busy and fast paced environment is essential.

    We currently have a vacancy for a Front End Cell Leader reporting to the Manufacturing Manager.

    You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Foam Head/Unwinds/Ancillary Machinery on one of the production lines along with all relevant chemical delivery links to and from the Tank Farm, in accordance with the agreed Company standards & specifications in order to ensure the continuous, effective & efficient production of quality Celotex products.

    You will have completed a recognised Mechanical, Chemical or Polymer Engineering; qualification to HNC/HND Level or NVQ Level 3 or 4 and have previous supervisory or team leader experience and/or a recognised qualification.

    You will also have previous proven experience of lean manufacturing and process improvement techniques and experience of production & manufacturing equipment and ancillaries.

    You will also have an awareness of TPM and Preventative Maintenance Systems.

Vacancy 3: Management Accountant

    We are currently seeking a Management Accountant to join the Finance team.

    You will be responsible for all Plant Accounting, Management and Commercial Accounting and Group reporting including the production of monthly management accounts and assistance with annual budgets and strategic plans. You will also be responsible for all Plant financial administration and month end procedures including costing, payroll, production input and stock control. 

    You will liaise with Operations Management using variance analysis and other analytical reviews to propose continuous improvement opportunities in respect of both profitability and business control. You will also liaise with Sales and senior management in respect of sales prices, margins commercial agreements/contracts and support commercial decisions with relevant analysis and input.

    You will be CIMA qualified or equivalent and be able to demonstrate some practical experience in standard costing in a similar manufacturing organisation. Strong Microsoft office skills are essential.

    Within this role you will be required to support the manufacutring plant to ensure that production performance is achieved at all times. Whilst working to our Health and Safety regulations you will be responsible for carrying out fault diagnosis, repairs, planned maintenance and improvements to a range of automated manufacturing plant equipment to ensure that it is in working order.

Previous experience of PLC controlled equipment is essential.

    You will have a proven record of initiating, leading, driving and delivering continous improvement changes across a number of projects and experience in Focused Improvement and FMEA/problem solving workshops, and be able to present some detailed case studies to support this.

    You will have the ability to lead, coach and facilitate teams and the ability to communicate with and gain commitment, respect and buy-in from the various levels in the Company. You will also be able to prioritise and make decisions with minimal input and produce and review detailed numerical and statistical analysis on line and overall plant performance.

    A safety qualification such as an IOSH Certificate would be an advantage.

Vacancy 8: Technical Marketing Manager

    We are currently recruiting for a Technical Marketing Manager to join the Marketing Team. The role will develop technical marketing solutions and messages to support product management marketing communications and sales functions in Celotex in line with Saint-Gobain Habitat goals and projects.

    You will be degree qualified, ideally in building science, architectural technology or engineering. You will be able to demonstrate previous technical marketing experience within the construction products sector or with a building sector supplier (desirable but not essential). 

    An understanding of business to business marketing through a multilayered decision process (e.g. Architect – Contractor – Distributor) is desirable.  You will also demonstrate an understanding of technical issues in order to translate building science knowledge and ideas into effective arguments to support the Celotex product range. You will also have the ability to undertake detailed analysis of technical challenges and opportunities.
