With its own in-house ‘On Construction' Energy Assessors, the Celotex Technical Centre can provide you with SAP Calculations in accordance with Approved Document L1A for new dwellings, at the design stage of your project. As part of this process we can advise the best ways for you to achieve your compliance, including full specification of your insulation requirements.
Once your project is complete, an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) can be provided, including recommendations offering advice and suggestions on how to further improve energy efficiency.
The Celotex Technical Centre can also provide you with a SAP and EPC calculation for a material change of use project, which is now a requirement under Approved Document L1B. In this situation you can choose to have full pass compliance as for L1A, or you can choose the reduced requirements under L1B. If the reduced requirement option is selected please note that your SAP will be carried out to enable an EPC to be produced, however the SAP will not show a pass.
Celotex does not produce SAP's or EPC's for existing dwellings, including extensions, loft and garage conversions.
With prices from as little as £49, this convenient and efficient calculator service from the insulation specialists will help to satisfy your SAP and EPC requirements.
To take advantage of this service, simply choose the calculation service you want from the list to the right, where you can - for your convenience - safely and securely process your complete submission online.
SAP is the Government's Standard Assessment Procedure for calculating the energy rating of dwellings (homes). All new homes are required to have a SAP rating - attained through undertaking a SAP calculation to gauge the standard of energy efficiency achieved.
SAP is a whole building energy calculation and looks at:
SAP is used to produce an Energy Performance Certificate for a new home. These are required by law to be provided to owners or tenants of new homes.
EPCs record how energy efficient a property is as a building and provide performance ratings from A-G - similar to the labels commonly seen on household appliances such as freezers and washing machines.
EPCs are issued after the property is built, and are produced using standard methods and assumptions about energy useage so that the energy efficiency of one building can be easily compared with another of the same type. This allows prospective occupiers to consider energy efficiency and fuel costs before committing to a property.
EPCs are legally required for all homes, whenever they are built, rented or sold. As legal documents, EPCs can only be produced by accredited energy assessors.
To continue and purchase your online SAP and EPC, please choose from one of the calculator options in the panel on the right.
When selecting one of the floor areas available, you must total together the floor areas on all levels of your dwelling, not just the ground floor.
Where a full SAP and EPC has been selected or previously purchased, additional SAP's including the EPC, can be purchased for other units of the same type.
The additional dwelling can only differ in orientation or by being a direct mirror image. All other details, floor layouts, floor areas, window areas, doors etc, must be identical.
