Global Warming Potential (GWP) is a simplified index that can be used to estimate the potential future impacts of emissions of different gases upon the climate.

What Is The GWP Of Celotex Products?
Celotex FR4000, CG4000, GA3000, TB3000, XR3000, CW3000, GX3000, EL3000, TA3000 & FF3000 all have a GWP rating of 3. The insulation component of our PL3000 and TD3000 laminate products also has a GWP rating of 3.

What About Celotex LG3000?
We have not had this product independently assessed and are therefore unable to state an exact GWP value.

What Is ODP?
ODP stands for Ozone Depletion Potential. Some chemicals have the potential to damage the earth’s protective ozone layer. Celotex products are all rated as zero ODP.

What Is The Typical Density Of Celotex Products?
Due to the sensitivity of this information, Celotex does not publish the density data for its products. However, the density of Celotex products is typically lower than that of other PIR manufacturers.

But Surely Higher Density Insulation Products Are Better?
No. A higher density product does not mean a better performing insulation board. Dimensional stability and compressive strength are the core properties to consider when assessing product performance. Celotex products are produced via highly efficient and established manufacturing processes without compromising on product quality and performance.

So, What Are The Advantages Of Lower Density Products?
A lower environmental impact than other PIR products. Using less chemical per board is significant in helping us achieve our industry leading sustainability position. Density is a key part of our environmental profiling process.
